Two members of the Iron County Shooters Club have been selected by the Michigan
State 4-H ShootingSports to compete in the National Shooting Sports Invitational
on June 23 thru the 28th 2013 at Grand Island Nebraska.The Michigan Shooting Team
consists of 4 members, 2 from Lower Michigan and 2 from the UP who will compete in the
3 position Air Rifle of 2 target and 1 silhouette events.
Our UP shooters are Alex Nelson from Iron River and Jesse Thoreson from Amasa.
Many hours of practice at the Amasa Area Recreation Center (old fur rendezvous)
has resulted in team shooters placing consistently in the top 5 places
in individual and team events in regional and state tournaments in the past 4 years.
Fundraisers will be conducted to offset the expenses of our Iron County 4-H shooters.
